My name is Catherine Richardson, I am a licensed psychologist registered with the Colegio Oficial de Psicólogos in Madrid. While originally from the UK I have lived in Madrid for over 5 years and am familiar with the troubles that come with adapting to a new country and culture. I graduated with a Bachelor's in Psychology in 2012, an International Diploma in Mental Health Law and Human Rights from the World Health Organization in 2013, and a Master's in General Health Psychology in 2018. an accredited Mental Health First Aider and Instructor with Mental Health First Aid England and have delivered courses to service users, carers, NGO staff and local government staff. I've volunteered with the Samaritans crisis service, the Nightline listening service for university students, and the National Autistic Society befriending service.

To me there is nothing more important than mental wellbeing. To that end I'm trained in delivering individual therapy, in particular Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) tailored to each individual's interests, and I offer group courses in Mental Health First Aid which teaches how to recognise signs of mental illness in ourselves and others and how to provide effective help.
